• The centaur's upper body was rigged using HIK and the lower body is part of the horse rig (another rig I did, but is not shown in this reel), allowing existing horse animations to be used for the bottom and mocap to be used for the top.

  • Kneazle was rigged in Maya

  • The magic armor rig uses HIK and has individual controls on each piece that the animator can use to break off pieces as needed. This setup let animators utilize mocap for the majority of it, but allowed further customization after.

  • The dynamic chains on this prop were set up using nHair. The chains are affected by how much the prop moves, eliminating the need for animators to hand animate them accurately. Having this set up gave animators the ability to edit the dragon + prop animation if needed without having to go back to fix up the chains.

  • Slytherin common room entrance was rigged in Maya.

  • Inferi was rigged in Maya.

  • The student robe was rigged in Maya and cloth simulation was set up in Unreal. These clips show the student robe in the announce trailer and during gameplay.

  • The next clip shows the rigging and cloth simulation I did on the player and Professor Fig and how the cloth behaves in intense wind.

  • Professor Ronen was rigged in Maya and cloth simulation was set up in Unreal.

  • These next four characters display the rigging, cloth, and anim dynamics I did on them.
